Oh, if typing is a challenge you can just hit the green button twice to enable talking into your Oracle! It can translate what you say to text. When you're ready to turn it off, hit the red button across from it twice. That switches you back to typing.

I wish, but no. It's essentially a way of encouraging Dreamers to interact with the Oracle and each other. Every other month, you'll start getting some kind of signal on your Oracle, maybe with a message about filling in your profile. You're expected to post a photo of yourself, some basic information-- your name, age, gender, and where you live, and then write a message to the city as a whole. There are also questions to answer at the end.

If you don't do that-- either by choice, or otherwise, the Oracle will fill it in for you. This can be lighthearted joking about your love life or your personality. Or it could be a full ad trying to tell the network that you're ready to date, and others should respond. There are also times where it can be cruel- insulting you, bringing up your past and twisting the facts, or any other form of insulting you can imagine.

All of that to say that the Sleepr comes with buttons. Pass, meaning you're not interested in who's responding to you, Flirt- you're interested and would like to know more from a romantic standpoint, Fight- This can be taken a few ways, I've seen it used as an OK button if someone is offering a training or sparring session, but it can also be used as "I don't like this person", or Friend- you just want to be friends and keep talking with whoever you're speaking to.

Essentially, magic-fueled socializing.

Yeah, dude! April rents us stuff from Blockbuster all the time. There's this family-owned video rental place in the neighborhood my family lives under that has a lot of the older Japanese movies Master Splinter likes! It used to be called Duck Tape, but I think they got sued or something? Now it's called Vido's Video.

Video rental places are so awesome. I hope we have 'em forever!

Movies can be a nice way to pass the time. Like I said, I'm usually busy with work but I've liked some of the newer ones I've seen.

Yeah. Me and my bros used to have movie nights with April and Casey alllll the time. We usually ended up having popcorn fights over what we were gonna end up watching. Was a ton of fun.

Guess they don't have video rentals here, though. Cause a movie night actually sounds so awesome right now.

I love superhero flicks and comedies. Mel Brooks stuff especially. Oh, and musicals too. A really good musical is so rad. Not even just Disney stuff either.

Maybe also kinda romcoms..and like, regency romance stuff. Ya know, like Sense and Sensibility?

Seriously don't know how Marianne was all about that dude Willoughby at first, cause Colonel Brandon was for real the best dude from the start. Total husband material. Have you seen it? It's soooo good. My brother Raph says it was lame, but he was totally tearing up at the end. I think you'd probably dig it.

Oh, I know some regency, yes! "Pride and Prejudice" has been in my orbit for a while.

I probably would- and no I haven't, unfortunately. :( But this entire chat does have me considering requesting some movies. Or at least some new books. Who knows?

"Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë, "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, and "Carmilla" by Seridan Le Fanu if you're wanting horror. "Heights" is more for tragedy.

Is it total bummer tragedy or like, it's sad, but there's at least a little bit of a silver lining? Cause I can't lie, stories that are all sadness and end that way make me cry buckets. I've seen a lot of Dracula films, like the ones with Christopher Lee and the one with Gary Oldman. (I love my dude, Keanu, but he was for serious not the right dude to play Jonathan.) Wouldn't mind reading the actual novel.

Have you seen Dracula: Dead and Loving It? Cause if not then that must be rectified. Best Dracula movie ever made. Amy Yasbeck was my dream girl for years after I saw it. Gotta love somebody with a great sense of humor.

I know of the movie versions, but I haven't read Dracula yet. It's on my list!

It's a comedy and it's hilarious. If you ever get a chance to watch it, do it. You will laugh until your stomach hurts.

Well, I do love a good comedy but not really a stomach ache. I'll have to get ginger ale first.
